Meade Instruments was founded in the USA in 1972, and today is one of the largest manufacturers of amateur telescopes in the world, as well as a pioneer in the production of "digital" telescopes, allowing astronomical observations even to people who do not know the starry sky. The American company Orion Telescopes & Binoculars was founded in 1975 and represents high-end optics on the world market: telescopes, binoculars and accessories. In June 2021, the company acquired the assets of Meade Instruments Corp. The combination of two iconic American brands Meade and Orion, which for almost 50 years have been producing products for amateurs, enthusiasts and professionals in astronomy, will open up new opportunities for development in the astronomy market.
